GG Hawkins is the writer-director who loves telling relentless comedies with a dark bent, like her 2019 short film An Aspirational Space and webseries Kinda Flakey. She also works as a podcast consultant, and has directed and developed audio and film projects with brands including Mastercard, Google, HBO and IBM during stints at Studio B Films, Google, the Wall Street Journal and, most recently, Gimlet Media. There, she helped create Chompers, the Cannes Lion award-winning children's tooth brushing podcast. GG is developing a two-time Sundance Episodic Labs finalist pilot with Tessa Stuart based on the true story of a multi-million dollar cow Ponzi Scheme. She is also in pre-production on an audio anthology project in collaboration with Sarah Yarkin for James Kim. She currently oversees all things podcast and audio for The Gotham Film & Media Institute (formerly the IFP), and will pet any dog.
