BIOGRAPHIE

David Rodríguez Muñiz (1982, Avilés) es director, guionista, editor y director de fotografía. Entre sus obras de ficción como realizador cuenta con los cortometrajes Deil (Mencion especial del jurado en el 17 festival de Málaga y premio del público en Avilés Acción) y Monstruo. Con el colectivo audiovisual Dropped Frames ha realizado los documentales The River (documento sobre la topografía del río Nalón) y Refugiados (Documental sobre el centro de rescate de primates Rainfer). C omo director de fotografía ha realizado el largometraje documental Os Días Afogados (Amanita Films) de Luis Avilés y Cesar Souto por el que ha sido candidato al Goya a mejor fotografía. El documental obtuvo los premios a la Mejor Película Latinoamericana en FIDOCS (Chile) y el Mestre Mateo 2016 a mejor documental. Actualmente su cortometraje documental Refugiados se encuentra en distribución y ha sido seleccionado entre otro s en los festivales de Clermont-Ferrand (Francia), EFFA Melbourne y Bogoshorts Bogotá y ha obtenido 7 premios entre ellos el mejor cortometraje documental en FICMEC y finalista en la GFN celebrada en San Francisco. ----------------------- David Rodríguez Muñiz (1982, Avilés) is a director, screenwriter, editor and director of photography. Among his works of fiction as a filmmaker, he has the short films Deil (Special Mention of the Jury at the 17th Malaga festival and Audience Award at Avilés Acción) and Monstruo. With the audiovisual collective Dropped Frames he has made the documentaries The River (document on the topography of the Nalón River) and Refugiados (Documentary about the rescue center of primates Rainfer). As director of photography he has made the documentary film Os Días Afogados (Amanita Films) by Luis Avilés and Cesar Souto, for which he has been a candidate for the Goya for best photography. The documentary won prizes for the Best Latin American Film in FIDOCS (Chile) and Mestre Mateo 2016 for best documentary. Currently his short documentary Refugiados is in distribution and has been selected among others, at Clermont-Ferrand SFF (France), EFFA Melbourne and Bogotá Bogoshorts and has won 7 awards including the Best Documentary Short Film in FICMEC and finalist in the GFN held in San Francisco.
