BIOGRAPHIE

Born and raised in the city of Pasto, from which I had to move to undertake a journey through film and television at the Universitaria Agustiniana in the city of Bogota. There, I learned two attitudes that are necessary when practicing this art, which are discipline and passion. In the course of my career I tried and polished my knowledge in different university short films as an editor in some promotional films developed by the SOCIAL CINEMA FOUNDATION, with its festival WE CAM FEST and CIREC. On the other hand, I was director and producer of the experimental short film UNA VIDA, which won an award for best experimental short film and best audiovisual work in the Agustiniana showcase, and also, was part of the official selection of CINEAUTOPSIA 2019 and is now available on their website https://bogotaexperimental.com/catalogo-abierto-por-cuarentena-2020/ As a Pastuso, I want to continue representing my land through film, which is a great communication tool, as I already did in my last short film CON LOS PIES DE TIERRA, of which I was the screenwriter and director, which at the moment is in the post-production stage, but which covers different themes of the Nariño culture, including music, the typical character, and its black and white carnivals, among others. This was my first project with a more professional approach, from which I learned a lot of things, one of them is the importance of teamwork and patience to know how to face the obstacles that come up.
