Born in 1986 in El Bierzo (León), Héctor Fernández Cachón developed his film studies at the Seventh Ars Film and Television School, where he was studying for a Diploma in Film Script and Direction. A regular in advertising work and a film editor in specialized media, Héctor F. Cachón once again approaches the world of short films after pieces such as "Nostalgia", "Todo está bien" or "Sola". With "The Guardian", the director and screenwriter delves into a creative universe full of stories full of emotions and easily recognizable characters, but with a wide wealth of narrative resources to give the piece a disturbing atmosphere. "The Guardian" is a bet on a story with high social content, but from a perspective close to the dark fable. Nor is it missing a tinge of terror. A story focused on the different perspectives from which fear is faced and on the difficulty of facing a threat when it seems that there is no way to escape it.
