BIOGRAPHIE

George Cloke is an audio-visual artist and musician from Kent, UK. Growing up in the countryside, Cloke has developed a deep connection to the local landscape. Notions of ecology, memory and myth pervade his work. Under the moniker Spring In A Small Town, his ambient/electronic music has been featured on BBC Radio 1, BBC 6 Music and NTS. His meditative, dreamlike debut record was released on Japanese electronica label Flau in 2020. As an audio-visual artist, Cloke has exhibited projects at New York University, CCA Glasgow and London’s IKLECTIK. Swanscombe Cyclone is his debut film; an elegiac response to a local wetland.
