Alexander Armas

BIOGRAPHIE

Alexander Armas Kereklidis Turpin (1989) is a greek-Swedish director based in Norway. He graduated in film directing at the National Film School of Norway in Lillehammer in June 2016 with «Generation Mars» which was nominated as a finalist for the 43rd Student Oscars Awards, finalist at Golden Eagle, selected to CILECT prize, and shown at over 20 renowned short film festivals. He has made a number of short films focusing on interpersonal relationships in the borderland between politics and private life. He has been selected at the talent program Artdex and the only Norwegian director to participated at Globus - a nordic talent program with a focus on diversity and international cooperation. In 2019 he was assistant director on the feature film The Tunnel directed by Pål Øie and produced by Nordisk Film Produksjon. His new short film PARADISE is a dark and emotional journey criticizing Norway's power and guilt in the actual climate change debate.
