Hello, We are Katia Crivellari and Jean-Baptiste Kaupp from Paris, France. We are co-producers and co-directors of the short comedy "Dignity" -"Dignit(é)s" in French- which we would like to submit to your festival. Katia is also the executive producer and Jean-Baptiste the scriptwriter. Both of us act in the film as well. Our short film is about a middle-school meeting between the school principal, the education adviser, teachers and parents. What should have been an ordinary school council is going to get wilder and wilder as buried resentments and not-so-well-kept secrets finally blow up in everyone's faces ! It's a 22 minutes slapstick and satirical comedy about education with 14 characters in one room. I, Jean-Baptiste, used my experience as a real life teacher to inspire this fun writing of the screenplay and push the psychological relationships of the characters to a breaking point. Writing this story was also a way for me to be able to interpret a role I really wanted to play. As for me, Katia, my love for acting and my determination for telling stories motivated me to make this film happen, and led me to become its co-producer. I had acted in few short films already and I always found it very frustrating when directors didn’t send them to festivals. Producing this one allowed me to create my own opportunities whilst helping all the talented actors who participated. I promised to everyone who helped this film that I would do my best so it could receive the attention from festivals like yours. We are very proud to present to this team work achievement, which required hard work and dedication, and we hope you will enjoy watching it as much as we did. If we are selected, we will definitely show up at the festival and represent our film because where is the fun if we can’t be there ! Best regards
