BIOGRAPHIE

Born in 1992, in Paris where she lives and works. Eléonore Geissler is a multi-media videomaker. Graduated from Ensba and Ensad, she notably completed an exchange in the robotics department of Seoul National University. Her first animated short Alien TV, nominated for the Emile Reynaud Prize, has been screened at numerous international festivals. Mixing different techniques of live action and animation, Eléonore develops a universe nourished by the fantastic tales of Eastern Europe and the horror films of series b. Her work, based on a practice of drawing whose line borrows from black humor, serves as a research canvas for her videos. She stages various visual experiments, where everything seems permitted to fool the viewer’s eye through a very wide spectrum of special effects often produced by hand. These short experimental videos constitute the different chapters of one and the same Story. She will participate for two consecutive years in the of official program of the White Night, in 2020 with the short lm Marcher avec les dragons, and in 2021, recently winner of the Call to projects with the National Center for Space Studies to produce a short lm Présences circulaires, visible in October 2021. after finishing her residency at the Drawing Factory ( CNAP and the Drawing Lab ), Eléonore is currently filmmaker invited by La résidence de la Nef, in Marroco for a lm residency.
