BIOGRAPHIE

Born to a Vietnamese mother, Tom Evrard is a French writer and director who grew up in Paris's Chinatown neighborhood. After graduating with a Cinema degree from the renowned Sorbonne University in 2014, he joined CANAL+ as an editor and junior director, collaborating with producer Vanessa Brias, with whom he has worked ever since. He has directed shorts for French networks (M6, CANAL+), several music videos, and digital campaigns. He is developing his first feature film set in this specific 13th arrondissement of Paris. ‘Sinorama’ is a part of his ongoing artistic research, exploring people's lives in that Asian area, where cinematic representation is still lacking.
