Itsaso Pol graduates from the double mayor Performing Arts and Audiovisual Communication at the Antonio de Nebrija University (Madrid). During her years as a student she gains some recognition in her first short movies “Lo que quieres contar” (What you want to tell), 2013 and “13”, 2015 in the University Festival AdN. She finishes her last university year at Regent’s Unviersity (London), where she directs music videos such us “Sofá” from the group Dazie Mae (2015) and “You’re Mine” (2016) for the singer Matilda Gracia. She also shots the short movie “Complete” (2015), which is later selected, among “13”, in the BaskFest (2018) exposition, hold in the British capital. In 2017 she takes the Cinema Directing course at Septima Ars School (Madrid), where she shots, as final course project, the short movie “Caja de Cerillas” (Matchbox), 2018. Short that would gain her the nomination to Best Short Movie Female Director in the PNR festival of Madrid (2018). After finishing her studies, she works as a production assistant and assistant director in different shootings for films and commercials. Finally, in 2019 she joins Arantza Velez’s Casting department as her assistant, working in different projects such as “Antidisturbios” (Riot Police) and “As Bestas” by Rodrigo Sorogoyen, “Vida Perfecta” (Perfect Life) by Leticia Dolera, “La Voluntaria” (The Volunteer) by Nely Reguera or “Cerdita” (Piggy) by Carlota Pereda among others.
