Juiana Lobo

BIOGRAPHIE

A BA in Design, Juliana Lobo (Brazil) earned her Master's degree in Alternative Cinema from the International School of Film and Television of Cuba. Her first short Coppelia is an investigation of the public space in Cuba, it premiered in Havana Film Festival 2018. The female body, a recurrent theme in her research, is present in Coppelia as well as in Relieve, a short film which is shown at the CineAutopsia Festival (Colombia) and at the CineHaïku competition (France), both in 2019. She is also the co-writer of First act, Matheus Parizi's short-film premiered at IFFR 2019. Throughout her work as a production designer, her recent projects include the feature-films All the dead ones, directed by Caetano Gotardo and Marco Dutra, which premiered in the Official Competition of the 70th Berlin International Film Festival (2020), Desterro by Maria Clara Escobar within the Competition of the 49th International Festival of Rotterdam (2020), and Albatros by Daniel Augusto which was shown in Brazil in 2019.
