BIOGRAPHIE

Née en 2001, Rose Duvivier clôt une licence de cinéma à l’université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne. Elle a bénéficié d’enseignements aussi divers que la Maîtrise du conservatoire de Lyon, la spécialité cinéma au lycée, l’Ecole Media Art du Grand Chalon. Ses différentes pratiques artistiques lui ont permis de cultiver la musique, le théâtre et l'art plastique – qui nourrissent aujourd'hui son travail cinématographique. Elle réalise dans le cadre lycéen Les yeux bandés, court-métrage primé au festival “Mamma Roma Guidonia” en Italie. Missionnaire est son quatrième film, premier projet financé et diffusé. En parallèle, elle s’enrichit d’expériences d’assistanat à la réalisation dans le cadre d’un collectif de jeunes cinéastes, Incendies Cinéma. Son cinéma met en jeu les représentations contemporaines, questionne les codes et les normes, dans une veine réaliste qui s'autorise également des échappées poétiques. Born in 2001, Rose Duvivier is currently completing a cinema degree at Paris 1 Pantheon Sorbonne University. She has benefited from an education at schools such as the Lyon Conservatory choir, the high school specialised film program, as well as The Art and Media School of Chalon-sur-Saône. The practice of different art forms which have allowed for her to cultivate herself in music, theater and art are what feed her cinematographic work. During high school, she directed Blind Expectation, a short film which won an award at the 'Mamma Roma Guidonia' Festival in Italy. Missionary is her fourth film and first fully financed and broadcasted project. In parallel, she enriches herself from experiences as assistant director within the scope of a young filmmakers collective, Incendies Cinema. Her films confront contemporary representations, questions codes and norms, all within a realistic vein which allows for poetic breaks.
