BIOGRAPHIE

Thaniya Chaikham is a filmmaker and photographer. Originally from Udonthani (Northeast of Thailand), she has grown her interests in local beliefs, folklores, Buddhist philosophy as well as spirit religion (“Sadsana Phi”). She observes social issues around her growing up in a small village, such as classicism, discrimination, and the injustice system people in the countryside have been facing. Her works usually reflect these problems via diverse media such as short films, documentaries, and photography.
