A writer, director, editor and creative director. ‘There are just some ideas, moments, stolen bits of conversation that stick with you. Things you can't shake off. Those are the things I make films about.’ -Scott Pickup Scott is a multi-award winning writer & director who has worked in TV & advertising for 15 yrs. He currently runs a small creative agency (Duck Thunder) and has made work for major international broadcasters including- Sony Pictures, NBC Universal, ITV & Paramount. Scott’s interested in seeing ordinary people in extraordinary situations. Working class stories from an often ignored Northern (England) perspective. Whatever he makes it contains real people, dark humour and a touch of magical realism. ‘If you made a filmmaking baby out of Andrea Arnold, Jeff Nichols, Andrew Dominik and Shane Meadows- midwifed by Martin McDonagh…then you’d get something like me!’ -Scott Pickup Scott is currently attached to direct two further short films- La Femme Deborah & The Visitor, plus has the feature version of Boy in the Back Seat in development.
