BIOGRAPHIE

​​Caitlin Soennichsen is a young filmmaker with a passion for writing, directing and producing based in Naarm/Melbourne. Caitlin has a passion for creating dark comedic horror films that give a nod to the past (think: Scream, The Fly, The ‘Burbs) whilst grabbing the genre by the throat and reconfiguring it with a contemporary view and emerging technology. Hooked on humorous horror from a young age, Caitlin continues to develop her unique style and fun blend of comedy and horror through her writing and directing. Her first short film in the festival scene, Clear_History, was a finalist for Best Youth Short Film at St Kilda Film Festival 2021. It was also selected to stream with FlickFair Film Festival and screen at Lido Cinemas’ Short Stack Film Festival. The Holy Path is her graduate film for the Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film and Television that she completed mid-2022.
