BIOGRAPHIE

Paula Andrea Lugo Hernández (1994) is a colombian film director, screenwriter and producer. She has directed the short films Delfines Rosados (winner of the FDC in 2020 and official selection of The Colombian Film Festival New York 2023) and the short film Actriz de Reparto (official selection of the XIV Pantalones Cortos). She is the writer and director of the children's short films: ¿Y Mi Disfraz Qué? (winner of the FDC in 2021), and Yo No Fui (winner of Smartfilms 2021). In 2020, she founded the production company Próxima Films. With her company in 2023, she writes and directs the comedy series Los Novios de mi Hermana, selected at BAM Series 2023 and winner of the Abre Cámara 2023 MinTIC fund. In 2023, she wins the Martha Bossio scholarship granted by the Colombian Network of Audiovisual Writers Guild (REDES), to study her master’s degree in screenwriting at the EICTV of San Antonio de los Baños in Cuba, where she developed the screenplay of her first feature film. In 2024 she directed the short film Pólvora Inofensiva.
