BIOGRAPHIE

Avazeh (Ava) Shahnavaz est une cinéaste irano-canadienne. Née à Téhéran en Iran, elle s'installe au Canada en 2007. Avazeh est diplômée en production de films de la Toronto Film School et elle a obtenu un baccalauréat en science avec une majeure en psychologie à l'Université de Waterloo. Elle a commencé sa carrière en réalisant des documentaires et en produisant des films publicitaires. Elle est retournée en Iran en 2018 où elle a commencé à réaliser des courts métrages, trouvant ainsi, dans son pays natal, sa principale source d'inspiration. --- Avazeh (Ava) Shahnavaz is an Iranian-Canadian filmmaker. Born in Tehran, Iran on Dec 23, 1989, she moved to Canada in 2007. Avazeh graduated in film production from Toronto film school and received a Bachelor of Science Degree from with a Major in Psychology from the University of Waterloo. She started her career with making documentaries about places and people, as well as producing advertising videos for various purposes. Avazeh moved back to Iran in 2018 and has since started to make short films in her home land, since Iran is the main source of inspiration for her.
