BIOGRAPHIE

Pia Derya was born in 1986 in Turkey. She has studied acting and she worked there, for a long period, as an actor. She immigrated to Australia in 2015 and since learning English, she has participated in many writing and directing workshops, whilst continuing her acting career. Most recently this has included roles in “Three Thousand Years of Longing “directed by George Miller and an Australian movie called “Here Out West” directed by 5 different directors. Pia’s debut film “Sleeping Beauties “has been a one-year writing and production process. Iranian Kurdish director Bahman Ghobadi consulted on her project.
