BIOGRAPHIE

Andrei Cojocaru was born and raised in the urban area of Bucharest, Romania. Since he was a child, living in a big city worked together with his strong will of experiencing everything, compiling them all eventually into a wide range of fields that he had experienced prior to filmmaking - starting with a professional career in karate as a sportsman and finishing with his current musical career as a singer going by the name of COJO. He first made contact with the cinema at the age of 15 when he immediately developed an obsession for the ‘new french extremity’, being inspired by directors like Lars Von Trier and Gaspar Noé. In the first year of his attendance to National University of Theatre and Film ‘I.L. Caragiale’ he produced, wrote and directed his first short film ‘you sleeping?’(2019).
