Javier San Miguel is a Spanish filmmaker based in Paris. During his engineering studies in Madrid, he started writing and directing short films. Despite having no prior training in filmmaking, he won several awards at Spanish short film festivals. After a formative hiatus, he relocated to Paris where he met fellow expatriates in the audiovisual industry and co-founded CHEF: a production house for independent directors that aims to support Spanish speaking talent in French cinema. His latest directed project, "La main," has been selected in renowned festivals such as FICX (Gijón International Film Festival) and Ibicine. Additionally, he holds experience as a theater actor, having trained with instructors in Taiwan, Denmark, and France.
