BIOGRAPHIE

Edson is a Brazilian social worker with a focus in human rights. He has two documentaries about musicians in his curriculum: "A Matriz dos metais", about Irineu Negri Garcia, who created the first children's band in Brazil in 1963, and “A Ciência do Bamba”, about the life and work of Paulo Vanzolini, one of the best Samba composers ever. His third documentary, "A thousand hands and a thousand hearts," addresses the democratic formulation of the Statute of the Child and Adolescent, the law that provides for children's rights in Brazil.
