Vanessa Sandre is Brazilian filmmaker and performer based in Toronto, Canada. Sandre has a Bachelor in Film and a Master in Literature focused on Feminism and Gender Studies. As a Latina immigrant and artist, Vanessa is inspired to create and contribute to projects that promote equity, inclusion, and diversity both in front of and behind the camera. She advocates for these through decolonial and intersectional feminist perspectives. Her first experience directing her own script was in “Nuvem” (Cloud, 2014), an award winning fictional short film that featured in film festivals worldwide. Filmed in Brazil, “The pleasure is all mine” is her second short film and addresses the taboo subject of sexuality in old age.
