Miguel Toledo Menéndez is a young director and screenwriter with a powerful cinematic vision - focused on the expressiveness of visual and sound language to explore deep themes around identity and duality - as well as a very solid portfolio of work behind him. In 2018 he was awarded a scholarship by Syracuse University (Syracuse, New York) via winning the Distinguished Art Portfolio Award, and it is at this university that he graduated with a degree in film in 2022. In between, in 2021, he was selected for an American university student program in collaboration with FAMU film university (in Prague), for which he directed a 35mm short film (titled "The Butcher's Son”). His short films as writer-director have been in official selection and awarded in more than 20 film festivals worldwide, including the D’A Festival de Cinema de Barcelona 2025, Romford Horror Film Festival 2025, 32 Girona Film Festival, Barcelona Indie Awards, among others. His works vary; some of them reside in the fantastic and eerie ("University", "The Nonexistence"), while others introduce surreal elements to dramatic plots ("Sin trauma”). He has also worked in the music world directing music videos for Warner Music, 4live and SoundCloud Music artists. He is currently preparing his first feature film titled “Felidae (A boy and a mother)”.
