Aiman Mimiko is a Nigerian Writer/Director whose work centers on African and Muslim perspectives, and the challenge of self-identity in worlds where no one pronounces your name right on the first try. His pilot, Casual Patricide, was a 2022 semifinalist for Fox’s Writers’ Incubator, Almanack Screenwriters’ Episodic Lab, and Humanitas’ College Comedy Award. In 2021, he participated in MPAC Hollywood’s Black Muslim TV Writers’ Lab with his teleplay, House Call. His feature, Quarters, was most recently part of ISF's Inaugural Muslim Writer's Lab, and was the winner 2023 of the Ezra Litwak Distinction in Screenwriting, Columbia University’s top screenwriting award. Quarters is currently in development with Antigravity Academy. His short film, Mr. Bold is currently submitting to festivals. Aiman holds an MFA with honors in Film from Columbia University and is a BAFTA Newcomer.
