Taya Walter is an emerging filmmaker and writer from Calgary, Canada, bred from a passionate need to tell diverse stories from a not-exactly-what-you'd-call-thriving entertainment center of the world. As a writer her scripts have placed in various contests, including top 100 in the Tracking Board Launch Pad feature contest, top 20% in the Nicholl Fellowship with a first-time entry, quarter finalist in both the PAGE Screenwriting Awards and Cinestory’s TV Division, and second-rounder in Sundance’s Episodic Lab. She’s directed various short films, including “Ghosted” and “Candice and Amirah,” which have played at multiple film festivals in North America. She is a born and raised Calgarian.
