BIOGRAPHIE

Dennis Chan is a Filmmaker, Copywriter, and Social Media Manager who was raised in Baltimore, MD. He graduated from the University of Maryland with degrees in History and Film Studies and studied Filmmaking at New York University as a graduate student, where he was a recipient of the Yunni and Maxine Pao Scholarship. His love of storytelling began at an early age, when his parents would regularly take him to the movies despite personal & financial hardships, encounters with the legal system, and economic uncertainty as working-class immigrants. "Miss Nightclub" is his first narrative short. He is currently writing his first feature, Words After Drinking-- a semi-autobiographical drama about the poverty to domestic violence pipeline.
