Marwan Fahmy Harb

BIOGRAPHIE

Marwan Harb is a Cairo-based filmmaker, screenwriter, and producer. His passion for the visual and performing arts industry began with student theater while in the engineering faculty at Helwan University. He transferred to the faculty of liberal arts, majoring in philosophy, and in parallel graduated from the Cairo Jesuit Cinema School. Harb entered the film industry in 2010 as a freelance assistant director and editor, then as a television producer at ON Live, later joining Alhurra as assistant director, then director, of a documentary series on Egyptian female entrepreneurs. Harb was the first assistant director of three award-winning feature films, Ahmad Abdalla’s “Exterior/Night”(2018) and “19B”(2022), and Darin Sallam’s “Farha”(2021). As a writer, he won the Nadine Shams Award for screenwriting in 2017 for his short film "Qanun Al-Gazebia"(The Law of Attraction).
