She was born in 1982 in Izmir. In 2001, she entered Dokuz Eylül University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Cinema-TV, where she studied directing and graduated in 2005. She worked as an assistant director in the documentaries Step by Step Istanbul for TRT and Kündekari, Man's Dance with Wood, for the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. She wrote and directed short film scripts. In 2006, she started working at Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Department of Culture and Arts. In 2007, she worked as an assistant director in the theater play titled All the World When My Home Is Made My Home, a European Union Project of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality. As a cinema coordinator at Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, in addition to the Yeniden Sinematek film programs that started in 2009 and are still ongoing, she still works as a coordinator in different cinema organizations.
