BIOGRAPHIE

I was born in 1996 in a small town called Pushchino in the central region of Russia. Death of my father and poverty made me love the world that i imagined more rather than the real one. Before I began filming I had been learning quantum mechanics and working as a theoretical physicist in Moscow. During this period of life I realised that scientists know nothing about the world we live in, their level of abstraction is too high to feel the ground. Having completed my Master study in 2021 I started searching for the balance between the “ground” you can touch and such level of intangible at which you have freedom to find and create new worlds. For this purpose I returned back to my hometown. While I was walking I accidentally met 10 years old boy Leva who was buying cigarettes. The tenderness and deepness of this little man amazed me and brought into cinema. 2022. When the war started I was in Russia. Thousands of deaths led me to the question of the Experience and Essence - the phenomena that Heidegger was working on. However, the philosophical approach was not satisfying for me due to the lack of Beauty. Instead of philosophy I have found all the answers in Georg Trakl poetry. The genius opened me the doors to pure experience. I came inside these doors in 2023 when I happened to be in Georgian mountains that allowed me to touch and experience the purity of new knowledge. I started finding the essence of colours researching Trakl poetry in the mountains. “How azure is dying” is the first film in the planned series: How azure is dying, Purple, Why did we come down from the mountains, White, Green, … Currently, I am working on “Purple” for which I need to dive into pain on the extreme level of deepness.
