BIOGRAPHIE

Thomas May Bailey is a London-based writer and director, and co-director of Second Name Productions. THE TALENT is Thomas’ first short film. It is playing at festivals worldwide, and in the UK was nominated for a BIFA. Other screen work includes writing and directing the FILMCASE series of micro-shorts for Identity Drama School, in association with Netflix. Previous to this, he was Assistant to the Director on PERSUASION (MRC / Netflix). Thomas began working in film in 2020 after an eight-year career as a theatre director. He trained on the National Theatre Director’s Course and was Resident Assistant Director at the Donmar Warehouse. He later became the Donmar’s first Digital Associate. He has directed plays at the Arcola Theatre, Southwark Playhouse and Tokyo Metropolitan Theatre, and also directed at numerous drama schools. He is represented by Curtis Brown and Grandview Management. Thomas speaks his native English and French, having lived in Paris for 2 years, studying at Paris-IV University.
