Louise Lever is a writer and director who makes films that prioritise minority voices and the female gaze. She is driven by heartfelt ideas and examining social issues in her work. Louise directed Revolt She Said (2020) - a documentary that asks why feminism hasn't progressed far enough today, featuring key figures including the former Prime Minister of New Zealand Helen Clark and award-winning journalist Alison Mau. The film was nominated for Best Documentary film in the New York City Independent Film Festival 2021 and screened on Rialto Channel.
