BIOGRAPHIE

Nirartha is a scriptwriter and filmmaker based in Bali island, Indonesia. His passion for movies led him to be a filmmaker where he studied film production in an autodidact way. As a Balinese, he wants to make films about his own culture, people, and concerns without any glorification of Bali as exotic tourism destination or spiritual fantasy gateway. In 2018, along with his fellow filmmakers, he co-founded Film Sarad, a film production community that aims to promote diversity of local contemporary issues using films as the medium and as a support system for local filmmakers to produce their works or connect them to the proper exhibitors.
