Luisa Urbina, screenwriter, producer and director of fiction and documentary films. Born in 1997 in Guatemala City. She studied a certificate program in film at Casa Comal Escuela and had been part of several seminars and forums Her first fiction short films: Soñé con Anna (2020) and Adán y el Mar (2021), have been awarded and exhibited both national and international festivals and exhibitions (Guatemala, Mexico, Brazil and Spain) such as: Festival Ícaro, Festival de Cortometrajes Por Chapinas, Festival de Cine Disidente, Muestra de Cine Hecho Por Mujeres, Muestra de Cine de América Central Rubí 2021, Festival Cuórum Morelia and Primer Olar Observatorio Latinoamericano de Realizadoras. In her shortfilm, Sometimes I like to believe that I am the air, she wanted to portray the emotional journey that women go through when they suffer a sexual assault. By building a single testimony, inspired by the voice of many, she seeks not only to name what happened, but also to reflect that in this healing process, this women have returned to their childhood and to everything they dream and dreamed of being, because no matter what, therein lies theire essence.
