Antonio Maria Castaldo

BIOGRAPHIE

Bio Antonio Maria Castaldo Born in Naples in 1980, he began working with the Fire Department in 2004. Assigned to Venice as his first workplace, he operated during fire safety inspections in theaters and at the numerous international exhibitions organized by the lagoon city. The daily contact with Art, Architecture, Painting, Dance, Theater, and Cinema inevitably led to an encounter with Beauty. Unlike Stendhal, who succumbed, he couldn't do without it anymore. He graduated in 2012 from the DAMS program at the University of Siena, and from there, he embarked on a personal journey to achieve his dreams. Today, he has four documentaries and three short films to his credit, which have been awarded and appreciated both in Italy and around the world. He received a special mention at the Nastri D'argento in 2018 for "Metti, una sera a cena con Peppino," and twice in Venice: with "Fuoco Sacro" in the Official Section of the 77th Venice International Film Festival in the Out of Competition section, and with the short film "La Campanella" in 2023 during the 80th edition. In 2024, he wrote and directed a new short film titled "Gli Elefanti."
