BIOGRAPHIE

Charlie is a Studio C21 Drama screenplay competition finalist and the creator of original television series in development with Working Title, Drama Republic, Mam Tor and Double Dutch, as well as an original film with Parkville Pictures. Charlie was a composer for film and theatre, and songwriter/front-man for the band Noah and the Whale, leading to the Sunday Times describing him as "one of Britain's most daring and inventive songwriters". He has directed multiple music videos for the band as well as others. He released four albums with his band, which collectively sold over a million copies. He produced Laura Marling's Mercury Prize nominated album Alas, I Cannot Swim and wrote and produced music for Charlotte Gainsbourg, Foxes, and Eliot Sumner, among others. In his work for theatre he composed the music & lyrics for the Olivier Award nominated The Lorax (Old Vic) as well as Cover My Tracks (Old Vic), The Man in the White Suit (West-End), As You Like It (Regents Park Open Air Theatre).
