BIOGRAPHIE

Mari Mantela studied film directing at the Aalto University in Helsinki. Mantela´s awarded short films have travelled the international festivals and screened in television in Finland and Sweden. Mantela has written both short and feature films supported by the Finnish film foundation. 2022 Mantela won the prestigious Risto Jarva-award with her short film Rabobesto – Or How I Saved a Monster. Additionally, the film won the main prize at Helsinki International film festival Love & Anarchy. Mantela´s medium length film An Autobiography won six international prizes and it is distributed by Berlin based agency.
