BIOGRAPHIE

Sama Zuhair is a Film Director based in Germany, born on 16.02.1996 in Baghdad, Iraq. In response to the Iraq-US war, her family relocated to Cairo, Egypt, in 2006. Sama pursued education in Applied Sciences and Arts at the German University in Cairo, later specializing in Media Design. With a dedication to storytelling, she developed a particular emphasis on addressing humanitarian issues in the Middle East. Graduating with a BA degree in 2019, Sama dedicated the following two years to teaching filmmaking at the same university. Having a passion for directing, she sought further education and, in 2021, applied for Documentary Directing at Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg in Germany
