Devina Sofiyanti, hailing from Bandung, West Java, but now residing in Jakarta, Indonesia, embarked upon her artistic journey following high school by enrolling in educational institutions such as the Jakarta Institute of the Arts and the New York Film Academy. Currently, she imparts knowledge to aspiring filmmakers through her role as an instructor at the Binus Film Department. One of her notable achievements includes directing a short film named "Heirlooms," which garnered attention during its screening at numerous international film festivals. Among these events were Fantastic Zagreb, Final Girls Berlin Film Festival, Jogja Netpac Asian Film Festival, Gandhara Independent Film Festival, Reykjavik International Film Festival, Madani Film Festival, Bakunawa International Film Festival, Umgungundlovu International Film Festival and Vierte Welle Festival. In addition to her work behind the camera, Devina has contributed to several series production with titles that include "Sore: Istri dari Masa Depan" (2017), "Rewrite" (Viu Original, 2019), "Jadi Ngaji" (GoPlay Original, 2020), and "Ustad Millennial" (WeTV Original, 2021). Furthermore, she has participated in prestigious workshops and mentorship programs, such as Full Circle Lab Indonesia LOCK, FLY Film Lab Busan, and RIFF Talent Lab. Moreover, Devina has served as a co-screenwriter for Luhki Herwanayogi’s "Our Son," which won the 2021 Locarno Open Doors. At present, she is actively developing her first full-length feature film, "The Heirlooms," which has already gained recognition through selection processes at Busan Asian Film School 2022 (Special Mention Prize), Torino Film Lab Extended 2022, BAFF SEAPITCH 2022 and Produire au Sud Taipei 2023.
