Ira Eduardovna is a Bukharian filmmaker and a video installation artists. She was born in Uzbekistan and immigrated to Israel at ten, later moving to New York City. Her work reconstructs autobiographical narratives and explores themes of migration and displacement through non-linear storytelling. Eduardovna has garnered numerous awards, including the New York Foundation for the Arts Fellowship, New York State Council on the Arts Grant for Film and Electronic Media, Gesher Film Fund, The New Fund for Film and Television, PAIS Lottery Council Grant for Culture and the Arts, The Ostrovsky Family Fund, Jerome Foundation Travel and Study Grant, and Artis Exhibition Grant. Her solo exhibitions have been showcased at prestigious venues such as the Tel Aviv Museum of Art, Loop Video Art Fair in Barcelona, The Israel Museum in Jerusalem, Chelouche Gallery in Tel Aviv, Cuchifritos Gallery in NYC, Momenta Art in NYC, and FUTURA Center for Contemporary Art in Prague. Eduardovna has participated in various residency programs, including Artport Tel Aviv, Lower Manhattan Cultural Council, Smack Mellon, Art Omi, and FUTURA Center for Contemporary Art in Prague. Her video installations are part of public and private collections, including the Israel Museum, Tel Aviv Museum, and Haaretz Collection. In 2021, she published her first graphic novel, "The Iron Road," and is currently working on her first feature film. Eduardovna has taught video and film at institutions such as Parsons The New School, Pratt Institute, Virginia Commonwealth University, Tufts University, and Bezalel Academy. She holds an MFA from Hunter College, New York.
