Santosh Dahal

BIOGRAPHIE

Nepal-based independent filmmaker Santosh Dahal graduated with a screenplay writing and direction degree from Oscar International College. His graduation short film, The Pledge (2016), screened at the Singapore International Film Festival. His following short film, The Mirage (2021), screened at the Raindance Film Festival, MARTOVSKI - Belgrade Documentary and Short Film Festival, Tasveer South Asian Film Festival, and Dhaka International Film Festival, winning Best Narrative and Special Mention at the Nepal America International Film Festival and Nepal Human Rights International Film Festival. His short film, New Moon Rain, was made under the Master in Filmmaking program at the University of Texas at Arlington. His latest short film, Shruti, is in the post-production phase. He is developing his debut feature film, The Flowers of Wild Sugarcane, which was selected for the Busan Asian Film School in 2022.
