Renjie Li is a Chinese-Canadian multidisciplinary artist, with focuses on filmmaking, literature and music. With over a decade of experience as a Director/Producer, Renjie creates films that speak to the lived experience of Canadian immigrants, and hopes to share the many meanings of what it means to be Canadian. His first feature-length film titled “No Minorities: The Ballad of the Macedonian Diaspora” released internationally in August 2021, and is a testament to his passion to learn about other cultures and share their stories, while his action comedy series “Lightfest Fightfest” showcases his roots set in the Chinese martial arts films he grew up on. In 2021, Renjie created Renergy Media House, a Media Agency and Production House that focuses on creating unique Canadian content, while providing freelance artists with opportunities to expand their horizons. He is a supporter of equity within the arts, and hopes to create spaces for artists of all cultures and identities to collaborate in harmony.
