Lucas Ribeiro is a screenwriter, director and editor, recently graduated in film studies from Fundação Armando Alvares Penteado (FAAP), with a background in psychology from Universidade Federal Fluminense (UFF). His work explores themes such as impermanence, sociability and trauma, with a focus on sensitive portrayals of Black Brazilian experiences. His first short film, 'KM 100', was selected to premiere at the 35th São Paulo International Short Film Festival - Kinoforum, where it was voted one of the audience’s top 10 favorite Brazilian films. Nowadays, he works as a teacher in a film course for high school students, manages the distribution of his debut short film, and is completing his second short film, 'A Flower is Not a Flower'.
