Miguel Ángel Papalini was born in Córdoba, Argentina. As a screenwriter, his first feature film “Mochila de Plomo” (Packing Heavy, Argentina) premiered at Berlinale in 2018. His second project, “La Otra Orilla” (The Other Shore, Peru), participated in the Sundance Script Lab in 2024 and won funding from Ibermedia and the CNC of France. Additionally, he has written “Obreres Animades” (Argentina), an animated series for Canal Encuentro, and has worked independently in various regions including Argentina, Peru, Spain, and Mexico. “Donde revientan las luciérnagas” (Where the fireflies burst, Argentina) his first short film as a director, won the INCAA Short Stories contest in 2022.
