Born in 1997 in China. Studied painting at the Fine Arts School Affiliated with the China Central Academy of Fine Arts from 2013 to 2016 and focused on experimental film and contemporary art at Shanghai University from 2016 to 2020. Exhibited works in Shanghai and Hangzhou. First short film “concrete life” (2021) made it through the first-round for the Pia Film Festival in Japan. Later matriculated to the director’s course at Tokyo University of the Arts. Strongly influenced by French director Olivier Assayas, for whom cinema is not only a storytelling medium but also a contemplative artistic medium. Often includes Chinese cultural elements within the language of cinema, exploring the possibilities of cinematic language within a narrative framework. As a Chinese director, focuses on cultural exchange and Chinese identity in the context of migration. Aims to become a director of transnational work with a focus on the social symbols of different regions and cultures from an outsider's perspective and the increasingly prominent issue of international migration from the director’s personal identity as an immigrant.
