Valeria Gaudieri

BIOGRAPHIE

Valeria Gaudieri (1995) was born in Naples. After earning a degree in Philosophy, she began working as a camera assistant. In 2020, she completed a Master’s in Cinematography at Goldsmiths, University of London, under the artistic direction of Steve McQueen. In 2021, she was admitted to the directing program at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in Rome, where she directed No Place Like Home (Giffoni 2025) and Sante, her graduation short film. Her work stems from a mnemonic impulse that explores femininity by delving into the narrative potential of genre, abstraction, and folklore as keys to accessing both personal and collective memory.
