BIOGRAPHIE

Smaran is from hyderabad, Telangana, India. He studied Filmmaking for his Master’s from the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad(NID). His graduation film, Allo Neredallo(2025), a short fiction film, is funded by the Ford Foundation Grant. His filmmaking journey began with an undying interest in narration that translated through photography first and now films. The nuances of the ordinary largely influence his storytelling, while his strength lies in perceiving and understanding things considered sensitive.
