Filip Antonio Lizatović was born in 1996 in Split and originally comes from the town of Hvar. In 2017, he graduated with a degree in Film and Video from the Arts Academy in Split, and in 2021, he completed his MA in Journalism at the Faculty of Political Science in Zagreb. He is an active member of the Blank Film Incubator, through which he has directed four short films and leads a genre film workshop. He is credited as screenwriter and director of the award-winning short fiction films Bepo and Carpe Diem!, as well as the experimental-documentary film Axiom. In 2022, he wrote and directed Hvar Timeline, a 2D animated promotional film for the Hvar Tourist Board. In 2023, he served as a jury member at the Mediterranean Film Festival in Split. His most recent short fiction film Anno Domini was completed in 2025 and is currently in distribution. He is a member of the Croatian Film Directors’ Association. He is currently developing his debut feature.
