BIOGRAPHIE

Tim Nowitzki is a documentary filmmaker, editor, and visual storyteller with a focus on social issues, sports, and quiet voices at the margins of visibility. After training as a media designer for image and sound, he studied Time-Based Arts at the Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design in Halle, specializing in documentary film. During his studies, he created his debut short La Boxe (2017), a sensitive film exploring the physicality and discipline of young boxers. His work moves between intimacy and reflection — with a camera that observes without glorifying. Der Kreis is his second short documentary, focusing on competitive sports and structural pressure.
