Mar Castel

BIOGRAPHIE

Mar Castel, screenwriter and director, debuts with the documentary short film series Ignorant, premiered at the 39th Cinema Jove Edition. Her first feature films include Las brujas que no pudiste quemar, selected for CIMA Impulsa IV, and Una vida soñada, produced by Tarannà Films and Inquieta Films, which was selected for Docslab Apunt and won two awards. In fiction, she starts with a trilogy of short films. The first, La Virgen machada de vino, produced by Tarannà Films and Inquieta Films and funded by the Valencian Institute of Culture, was selected at the 10th Curt Creixent Edition, where it won the Best WIP Short Film Award. It is currently in postproduction. She is now writing scripts for upcoming projects.
