BIOGRAPHIE

Angelika Cygal I spent most of my life in a small village in Poland, growing up in a farming family. This environment profoundly shaped my artistic perspective. In 2021, I was accepted into the directing program at the National Film School in Łódź, where I am currently studying. My films, both documentary and narrative, explore themes of life and spirituality in rural settings. My latest short film, Dying of the Young Deer, is inspired by a story about my mother as a village bride.
